Министерството на образованието и науката (МОН) предлага въвеждане на нов учебен предмет „Религия и добродетели“, като целта не е въвеждане на задължителен час по религия, а създаване на среда за етическо и ценностно възпитание. Това бе подчертано от министъра на образованието Красимир Вълчев по време на проведеното в НДК обществено обсъждане с участието на над 100 представители на църковните институции, родители, неправителствени организации, учители и политици.

The Ministry of Education and Science (MES) proposes the introduction of a new subject „Religion and Virtues“, the aim is not the introduction of a mandatory time in religion, but the creation of an environment for ethical and value education. This was emphasized by the Minister of Education Krasimir Valchev during the public discussion held at the National Palace of Culture with the participation of over 100 representatives of church institutions, parents, non -governmental organizations, teachers and politicians.
