В полунощ Архимандрит Януарий тържествено поздрави три пъти с „Христос воскресе!“ вярващите пред Искрецкия манастир „Успение Богородично“. Прозвучаха Евангелието и тропарът за Възкресението, както и възгласите: „Христос воскресе – Воистину воскресе!“.
Действащият мъжки православен манастир „Успение Богородично“ в село Искрец, под епархийското управление на Софийска епархия на Българската православна църква, е основан през XII-XIII век. Манастирът се намира в източната част на селото, в непосредствена близост до санаториума за белодробни заболявания.
