Надграждането на суперкомпютъра „Дискавърър“ в София Тех Парк, осъществено по процедура на EuroHPC JU, представлява първата модернизация на суперкомпютър от мрежата на ЕС след създаването му през 2021 г. Модернизацията на високопроизводителната система е в съответствие с мисията на EuroHPC JU за изграждане на водеща световна инфраструктура за суперкомпютри в Европа.
„Дискавърър+“ разполага с модернизирани функционалности и системи, специализирани за изкуствен интелект, задоволявайки нарастващите потребности на научни организации, бизнеса и публичния сектор в България и Европа.
Българският петаскейл суперкомпютър „Дискавърър“ притежава изчислителна мощност 4,5 петафлопа и пикова производителност 6 петафлопа, класирайки се сред водещите в световната класация TOP 500. Управлението му се осъществява от консорциума „Петаскейл суперкомпютър България“, обединяващ „София Тех Парк“ АД, Асоциация „Национален център по компютърни приложения“ и Стратегически център за изкуствен интелект, и събиращ над 15 години опит на български учени и инженери.
